Is ManuBench a working pump?
No. It is manual practice hardware: no motor, impeller, powered pump, or process connection. The shaft turns directly by hand and the proposed circuit uses no more than 500 ml of water at a hard design limit of 0.3 bar. It does not reproduce operating conditions.
What can a learner practice on it?
The frozen scope combines packing installation and removal with installation of a common Type 1 mechanical seal on one shared one-inch simulated shaft. Learners can inspect, correct, reset, and repeat under supervision. Exact consumables and compatibility remain pending.
What do the water and hand rotation show?
They are intended to make gross, low-head leakage visible while an instructor reviews the installation. They do not show seal behavior at operating speed or process pressure, and they do not establish field readiness. Containment and observation quality still require physical-alpha testing.
Does ManuBench certify a technician or prove field competence?
No. ManuBench is reusable practice hardware, not a credential or work authorization. The instructor and employer retain responsibility for curriculum, supervision, safety, assessment, qualification, and field work.
Which packing and Type 1 seals are included or compatible?
The public scope is packing and a common Type 1 installation fixture. Exact materials, sizes, consumables, and compatibility are not yet frozen. A fit review compares the current proposed hardware with the task your program or shop wants to teach.
Can it connect to a drill, motor, air, mains water, or a live pump?
No. Those interfaces are outside the frozen scope. The station uses direct hand rotation only, has no electrical requirement, and is not designed for external power or pressure.
How do price, deposit or PO, freight, tax, delivery, acceptance, and warranty work?
A single station is $12,500 USD ex VAT; the four-station fleet is $44,000 USD ex VAT. Both are made to paid order, with availability confirmed before reservation. Freight, tax, territory, payment, acceptance, warranty, lead time, and delivery require a written quote.
Can ManuBench fit an existing course or shop training process?
That is the purpose of the fit review. ManuBench is intended for supervised practice between or after qualified instruction, not as a replacement for an instructor, OEM course, apprenticeship, or live-equipment assessment. The review starts with your current method, learner count, and task sequence.
